To the Builders, the Thinkers, and the Human,
Hiring has always been hard, and it's getting harder with AI. The space has seen constant development, but it's one band-aid fix after another while the process gets more opaque and disingenuous.
Screening tools now reject 75% of qualified candidates because they don't match preset filters. Candidates have been influenced to use AI to optimize resumes, then penalized when detection tools flag them. When rejected, there's no feedback on what made them compelling or why they weren't a fit. They live in uncertainty, stuffing keywords into each application with no real science to guide them. The result is noise, wasted potential, and human anguish. Even the most capable get filtered out because the process can't assess depth, nuance, or culture fit. Someone's career trajectory decided by an arbitrary algorithm they'll never understand.
On the other side, founders and hiring managers at every stage struggle just as much to fill important roles. Employers receive 1000+ applications within an hour of posting a job, and this flood means they can't spend more than a few seconds on each resume or quickly learn enough about promising candidates. Seasoned leaders subconsciously search for self-awareness, coachability, empathy, curiosity, attention to detail and critical thinking, but measuring them at scale has been impossible. As AI enables new forms of cheating, forward-thinking companies are adopting work trials to more accurately assess how candidates think, learn, and perform on real job problems, but these trials are expensive and difficult to scale.
We're building infrastructure that brings a similar rigor and real-world environment to talent assessment, autonomously, and at a fraction of the cost. We're building with compliance, explainability, transparency, and empathy from Day 1, because if AI is to be used in hiring, it needs to make the process more human, not less.
The Cruitical team has been fortunate to see both sides of this problem closely. We've personally helped over 300 professionals find the right next step for them. We understand how much value people derive from their work and what misplaced potential does to a generation. The least we can do is get you to the right seat, using technology the recruitment industry deserves in 2026.
"We're in the business of people, and people never go out of business."
Sincerely,
The Cruitical Team
